Remember not to forget

I have been there and I think a lot of you have too, whether you are the person that just says yes to everyone when they wanted a bit of help which ends up being an endless task and you end up missing your own deadlines.

We sometimes get into that habit whereas we simply plod along getting things done for others, while what we want is put on hold and we have to then figure out how with all the other things we are doing for everyone else, How am I going achieve what I want?

Well as easy as it sounds, just say No once in a while, we all have a finite time here and that time can simply pass us by if we do not do something about it.

Whether you are in a high-pressure role, busy trying to fit in studies or in a situation where you haven’t worked out your work/life balance.  Do not forget about yourself, make sure you have time set aside for you.  Have time to reflect on what you want, if your life is dictated by a diary, book in some time for yourself.

Allow yourself to let your mind wander once in a while and recall what you wanted and still want out of life.  Take the small steps to get there, it may take longer than anticipated, but you will be able to embrace those moments and lead your way to the small things in life that make you happy.

Set those goals, milestones, tasks, challenges, todo’s…or whatever you want to call them for yourself, and get going.  Make sure throughout the day you make that time for yourself, and not only just first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

Let your focus become you.
